NPCs are scattered all around the map in Fortnite Season 8 and play an even bigger role this season than they have so far in any other. Players will be able to take on Character Quests during Season 8. These are sets of five missions provided by each NPC. Each challenge will be more difficult than the one preceding but will also earn the player more XP toward leveling up their Battle Pass sooner.

In order for players to find these Character Quests, they will need to locate each NPC individually. Learning where to find every NPC on the map will make it much easier to accept and complete their missions. Fortunately, Fortnite makes it easier to find each NPC this season than in the previous several. From the Quests tab, players are able to choose the NPCs with Character Quests.

Upon selecting an NPC in the Quests tab, the game will pin the NPC's exact location on the map. Players will then just need to travel to that spot and interact with the NPC to start their quests. More Character Quests will be added to the game as the season progresses, which means this map might change as Season 8 progresses. There are currently 17 NPCs on the map, and players should make a point to visit them all.

The map above was created by For players looking to speak to the most NPCs possible in a single match, visiting Lazy Lake will be their best bet. Players can head north to find The Brat to begin their questline, then swing around to the east to find Penny and begin her tasks. At any point, players can jump into their Quest tab and change NPCs and active quests, even while on the battlefield.

Alternatively, players can head over to Stealthy Stronghold in the northern region of the map. Here, players will be able to find Wrath, the newest NPC to be added to the game. Heading to the west of this location toward Coral Castle will help players find Scuba Jonesy. He can be found castaway to the south of this Named Location.

Players should try to complete as many NPC Character Quests as possible. It's even possible for players to clear out two questlines at the same time. There is something incredibly satisfying about helping the NPCs during a match, and assisting enough of them should help fans earn the XP needed to unlock the Carnage skin at Tier 100 of the Fortnite Season 8 Battle Pass.
